Physical Description The Voran resemble their Vulcan and Romulan cousins almost exactly, with one exception. On their cheekbones, on the outside of the eyes just below their temples there is a ridge pattern that resembles a plus sign, or cross. It is comprised of both bone and cartilage. Whether these ridges serve any other purpose other than aesthetic remains to be seen.

As with their Vulcanoid cousins, the Voran do have exceptional hearing. Their planet, Voran (Tython), was chock full of numerous predators that could easily consume and kill the Voran. (Not so, after the Iconian nanites changed the planetary dynamic. Another point of contention for Ainkara towards the Iconians).

Wall Cling:

Through her ability to manipulate the Force, and her own scientific knowledge, Kara has created a new Force ability for herself; the ability to cling to, and climb, walls and ceilings. This is accomplished by Kara allying her Control discipline in the Force for her own body, and the role of Van der Waal's forces. These are weak intermolecular forces that cause molecules to stick to one another. Van der Waal forces are present between all types of molecules and result from the electrostatic attraction between electrons of one molecule and the nuclei of another.

Combining the Force, and these naturally occurring forces, Kara has allowed the Van der Waal forces to be responsible for the adhesion between her body and the surfaces she sticks to. Van der Waal forces are feeble, but when combined with the Force it creates an energy equal to that of a spider with millions of setae acting to keep her in place. The Force becomes the setae necessary to cling to things. Through this combination of the Force and natural forces, the combined energy is strong enough to support Kara's weight, and the weight of others she holds when she calls upon the Force in greater strength.

The adhesion is not a one-way process. Kara can release herself from surfaces by reversing the process of adhesion, and this is done by reducing the force exerted by the Force-setae, or when there is a breaking of the bond between her Force-setae and the surface. These combined forces and energies are the factors that enable Kara to cling to walls and ceilings securely and release herself when needed.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Ainkara is rather tough-minded and can be by the book at times. As a Voran, a Vulcanoid species, she has clear-headed pragmatism and reason. She has shown to be extremely loyal to Starfleet and the Federation. However, for the greater good, she is willing to discard those loyalties in favor of keeping non-combatants safe. Though very professional when on the job, Ainkara jokes with her colleagues and is lighthearted during times of levity. She does not let her guard completely down, at any time, having trust issues.

Ainkara (Woman in White) was trained from a young age to cultivate a very specific set of skills in an Iconian facility called the Omega Room. There she honed the skills that would turn her into a Voran warrior who continues to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other galactic soldiers destined to serve the Iconians. However, she eventually eschewed her Iconian masters, switched allegiances and began working for the fall of the Iconian Empire.
Strengths & Weaknesses For her rebellious actions the Iconians placed her within the stasis capsule, drawing blood and flesh samples to cultivate their own genetically created bio-synthetic Voran, ones without the will to turn. As she lay in the capsule her mind was constantly assaulted by Iconian mental manipulation through various means of entering her mind. All day, every day, these programs were forced upon her, crushing her mind under their weight and trying desperately to bring her mind back to their favor. As a Voran, her mind disciplined and strong, she was able to keep the conditioning at bay as she lay unconscious, her sub-conscious continuing thr fight even as she was oblivious to her own internal struggle. With this mental struggle her mind has been battered and has caused her to revert to a childlike mental state upon awakening, all her memories buried so far back in her mind by her sub-conscious, to protect them from corruption, that it will take time for ehr to unravel it all and regain who she is overall.

Exhibiting a few metaphisical abilities, Ainkara also boasts ultimate Vulcanoid levels of strength, agility, and stamina. She is extensively trained to near perfection in a variety of fighting styles similar to Earth karate, judo, kung fu, and wrestling, and with all manner of weapons—both traditional and high-tech—combined with her background in gymnastics and acrobatics.

The Voran can use telekinesis to move objects around with their mind, and also have a form of mind meld. The mind meld is quick, activating with a mere touch to another, and instantly connected if the mind in question is weaker than most or untrained against mental invasion.

The telekinesis is moderately strong giving Ainkara the ability to move objects of under 200kg with relative ease. Anything heavier can give her trouble. Use of telekinesis is a drain on her stamina, and the heavier the object the more it costs. This is why Ainkara only uses this abiility when necessary, or when moving simple things like cups, silverware, that sort of thing. She can send forth a 'ball' of telekinetic energy like a cannon, knocking opponents off balance or sending them crashing back to the floor. Again, the more she uses it this way the more taxing it becomes.
Ambitions Kara's driving goal is to bring justice without mercy. To this end she has wrangled quite a few colorful ways to do that as a 'Privateer' in alliance with the Federation:

SIS: Strategic Information Service, a branch of UFP Security, dedicated to clandestine and undercover operations. Non-Starfleet but works closely with the service.

SoB: Saints of Bliss, a Merchant Club (MC) started by Kara as a means to be able to travel across borders for 'free trade'. The organization is similar in all aspects to a biker MC from Earth's past. Loyal and dedicated to each other over all else. Kara is the President of the MC, or 'Prez', for short. All members of SoB do wear cuts (leather vests) to show who they are and their solidarity. Top rocker: Saints of Bliss. Bottom rocker: Nomad.

SS Harbinger: Due to the owning of this vessel, complete with a secret cloaking device, Kara has the position and accolade of 'Captain' for her civilian vessel. She is the owner/operator, and the cargo hold can carry up to 100 metric tons.
Hobbies & Interests They remain to be seen.

Personal History As a part of her 'conditioning' by the Iconians, Ainkara was experimented on and there are biosynthetic tissue and mechanisms in her brain. Her left eye, at times, will show a computer-like, amber colored spindle that spins and halts as if a computer is running its drive. This, for her, produces a breakdown in her eye, and in her mind's eye, of whatever she is viewing at the time. Within her brain is a biosynthetic data storage, with a plethora of information about thousands of species spread throughout the universe, from several galaxies that the Iconians have operated in. The purpose is to provide her with data on devices, languages, racial characteristics, you name it. The idea was that this enhanced computer portion of her brain would make her a more efficient killer for the Iconians. A squad of such enhanced soldiers could effectively eliminate a species' defenses, and allow for them to be more easily quelled.

However, with Ainkara being able to break her mental bonds, she is able to keep it under control, though it still pops up randomly. Starfleet medical knows all about the condition, and after years at the Academy and years in counseling, she has been cleared to serve in the fleet. As she goes, and meditates to gain alignment with her own being, Ainkara is starting to be able to control the internal 'devices' within her mind.
