Capernum: Heading Home

Mission: The Inner Flame

Timeline: current/somewhere in between

OOC: I am advancing my timeline for Capernum to get the ship back to M-69. Please, this does not mean anyone else has to match it if it interferes with your own story lines. Time, in sims, is what it is.

ON:

For two weeks the USS Capernum was on task with the Bexan colony. Ejo and her engineers sought out any and all technology problems, Operations under Covenant seeing to their power allocation issues, T'Pri and her science teams looking into the wyvern beasts that had caused issues with the development of commtower construction and power intake through the lightning rods placed on their uppermost points. Mister Resch had seen to giving the colonists a basic run through for small unit tactics against both large beasts and the possibility of raiders. Captain Green, Ainkara Ski'a, and Lt. Jynxza Dahl had left in their X-wings to return to M-69, with Ro taking something from Taavis's personal belongings before they left. She had not wed Kudo, yet. When she found out it kept getting passed off to the next person, and then the next, to perform the rite of marriage she found it insulting. She had asked Captain Loewen, specifically, to marry her to Ken. To honor his new captaincy, and to honor a request for a couple to take a step into their future life. His first ceremony as Captain. Apparently, others had put their two cents worth into the mix and confused the issue. So, Ro told Ken they would wait until they got back to the starbase and left, with Ro barely hugging or kissing him before doing so. Ken could tell she was not happy, but half of him knew it was also the hormone assault she was under this far into pregnancy, so being who he was Kudo took it in stride.

Captain Loewen Had the USS Capernum break orbit and head for the outer system. Leaning back in his chair he tapped at his PADD as the ship spun about and headed towards open space beyond the star system. Kudo was back on active duty, instead of light duty, his time with his fiance' having Ro use the Force to finish his healing and cause the scar tissue to all but disappear. It was so minimal now it was hard to see without a close inspection, and no one but Ro would ever be that close to his barren flesh. At Helm, Lt. Thomas Borelli gave the announcement as they reached the edge of the system. "We have left the Bexan system, Captain. Free and clear to navigate."

With legs crossed at the thighs, Sean slid his PADD down next to him in the seat to look up at the forward viewport. "Thank you, Mister Borelli. Set course for M-69, warp two." The orders were followed and Tom announced it was so. "Excellent. Engage."

Borelli did as ordered and the USS Capernum gathered herself and leaped into the warp envelope, now encased in a wormhole as she headed for home port at light speed. Sheyla spoke up from the Comm/XO station. "We should arrive in approximately 14 hours, Captain."

Loewen looked her way with a grin. "A nice, casual drive home. Can't ask for better than that."

"Not at all," Sheyla agreed with a grin of her own. "One more colony back on track and heading home for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades."

"Fixing the barn door after the horses come home." Sean said. "Standard duty shifts, Number One." She acknowledged, as that was already in play even as USS Capernum tore through space towards home.
