Station: Mr. & Mrs. Kudo

Mission: The Inner Flame

OOC: Again, my timeline may be a little out of place, but it will align as we move forward, promise.

ON:

The USS Capernum pulled into orbit around M-69, orders going all over the ship that they would be docking soon for their repairs. Each department did what was expected and soon enough the cruiser was docked nose in and expecting visitors from the starbase engineering section to come aboard and repair the interior damage from the exploding plasma manifold. Captain Loewen had given Kudo leave to depart the ship, stating that Captain Green wanted to see him post-haste.

Ken did not like leaving the ship in such a way, but after the way Ro had left the ship a few weeks ago, he figured he could let it slide for now. Exiting the ship via the gangway Kudo made his way to the office of the Fleet Captain/Starfleet Command. The officers outside the office simply gave nods of hello, knowing who he was to their CO for the office, the door opening automatically at his approach. Walking casually within the office Kudo saw the love of his life behind her desk. He stopped and remained quiet, observing her from a few meters away, leaning back in her super-comfy office chair, eyes closed. Was she sleeping, he asked himself in thought. Yui was quite the pronounced lump in her torso now and it would not be unheard of for Ro, even being an Augment, to find a minute from time to time to take a cat nap. So, he remained a few meters away, hands clasped in front, watching her as he grinned at the sight.

"You think you're sneaky?" Green asked, her eyes still closed even as a grin formed.

"Not at all," Ken said, smiling now that he had been caught. "Just admiring the view."

Ro, sitting up and smiling back, got to her feet. "You like the rotund type, eh?" She thrust her belly forward a bit to make her point, both of them giggling. "I look like Cosmo these days."

Ken came in and she met him half way, her body slightly turned to not mash Yui between them as they kissed. Yui did, however, begin to move around a bit more and Ken could feel it against his side. "Damn, she is growing fast."

"A lot faster than I thought she would, even with the previous information." Ro admitted. "I told you we get married before she is born. So, are you ready?"

"Now?" Ken asked in astonishment.

"Now," Ro said. "There are a few ordained ministers on M-69. We're Human, so we get married in Human tradition, with God as our witness." She gave another grin. "If we don't do it now I'm afraid Yui may not wait and I'll miss my chance to have a husband before the child. I told you that the twins had been born as me and Dwight had decided to remain partners, but not to marry. I was a fool then and I think the twins were taken home to the Lord since I didn't listen to His word."

Kudo could see she was serious about this, that her faith would not allow another mistake in the eyes of God. He could not help but agree. "Okay," Ken said. "Let's go. Do you have one pre-arranged?"

"All taken care of. I even called him just before you docked." Ro gave him a big smile. "He will meet us in the arboretum." The arboretum on M-69 was like a central park for the base. A massive park structure with synthetic sunlight and small animals and birds allowed to actually live in the natural environment. There were several Japanese families on M-69 and one of them was in the sciences, and she had put in a goldfish/carp pond and stream, with the Japanese style foot bridges over the spectacle for guests to look down into the water and see the fish from above.

The two lovers made their way to the arboretum and met with the pastor. After going through the dialogue expected of a man of God, about the sanctity of marriage and the obligations of the two involved, the Pastor then took them through the vows, with Ken saying what he needed to say, and then Ro giving over her part. "With your vows now said, and the two of you becoming one, I now pronounce you man and wife. May God bless this union and give you many happy years together. You may kiss the bride."

The two newlyweds kissed with love but did not lip lock. That would be reserved for later. They shook hands with the Pastor and thanked him greatly for his being there. Ro pulled her palm PADD out of her thigh pocket and began to tap at it, sending a message to her office that now was the time.

Ken got in next to her and looked at the screen over her shoulder. "What have you got going on?" He asked, smiling as he realized she was not hiding it as if she was trying to surprise him.

"Watch." Said Ro. And, as he looked on everything listed under Captain Ro Green morphed into Captain Ro Kudo. That message went out across Starfleet as much as across M-69. "It is now official, babe. I am now Mrs. Kudo, so my records have to reflect that. And, it's done. Sent out by my office. Of course my dad may be a bit hurt by it all, but he'll be happy for us. When his Director of Starfleet personnel department informs him I am sure to get a call." She giggled as she tapped the PADD off and pocketed it, snaking her arm through his. "Shall we, Mister Kudo?"

Ken took her left hand in his right as she snaked them together, walking side by side as they got moving through the 'park'. He did note that Ro's belly was undulating more at the moment due to Yui's movements within. "Are you okay? Yui's moving around a lot."

Ro smiled at him. "I am fine. That is what Yui does when she hears your voice, or knows you're close. I think she likes to show of for daddy. 'Look how big and strong I am, papa', kinda thing." Ro giggled. "However, her butt and my bladder compete for space when she does it."

Ken gave a chuckle. "We're in for some serious fun once she's born. If your pregnancy is any indication she is going to grow fast."

"The twins didn't develop as fast as Yui, but they did grow very quickly." Ro explained. "According to the NX-01's records, Aric Sung's Augments grew exceedingly fast, to better survive in a hostile world as quickly as possible. I will need to work hard to see that Yui doesn't become a bully due to her augment genes. Mine were developed differently, but thinking you're better than others is the bottom line to trying to gain an advantage over those you know are weaker than you."

"Something tells me that Master Ro will have everything in hand," Ken gave a grin.

Ro had to look at her husband with a bit of a disappointed look in her eyes. "I'm sorry we can't consummate the marriage right now, Ken. I..." She stopped when he put a finger to her lips.

"There will be plenty of time for that. Like, the rest of our lives. Plus, I don't want you to think that my marriage to you is based on sex first. Not the case," Ken said. "Sex is a bonus to a balanced life with the one you love, it should never take precedence. For me, it's communication first, everything else second, with sex being the last thing I need to base our lives on."

"You are a rare man, Mister Ken Kudo." They leaned in and kissed each other, Ro not able to stop smiling. It was done, complete. They were one now. "Yui will know her culture through you and I both. If she is anything like her daddy, she will be a Japanese national treasure."

"Oh, have no worries, mama. She will be as Japanese as I am. I will see to that." Ken responded. "Education, martial arts, everything she will need to be regarded as honorable and true as a Japanese woman. We must encourage her in all things and let her experiment, but that education comes first. Intellect combined with intelligence is the key to making a difference in the world, you know this."

"We shall do as my husband demands," Ro said, the silly teenie smile still on her face as they continued to walk and talk.
