Abducted

Posted on Sat Oct 25th, 2025 @ 1:18am by Captain Rogue "Ro" Kudo {Meji Master} {Flt. Cpt.} & Cosmo & Yui Kudo {Little Fox} {YuiFox}

Mission: The Inner Flame
Location: M-69
Timeline: Current

ON:

As Captain Kudo cruised along casually, listening in on battle reports and checking out the ships around the station that were friendly or neutral. Yui had fallen asleep, now breathing steady and heavy in mama's lap, the trials on her body over the past few hours having drained her. Sweeping out and around the outer markers and buoys for M-69, Ro allowed herself to fly casual as she scouted the perimeter around the station for anymore surprises. Her own eyes and the sensors showed there was no one out here this far in this direction, and with her flight path, Ro was passing near to the ionic distortion area near to the Lagoon. Still, nothing. Not even her senses through the Force were twitching. Space was quiet for once, tranquil.

"Wait...wait," said Sub-Commander Likhon as he watched the small craft cruise along completely unaware of their presence. This small craft held 'The One' according to the report from one of their many informants. Most of those wretches were beings of no faith, who's only goal was power through wealth. Which suited the Gr'zh'n brotherhood just fine. Pay them, let them get drunk or abuse narcotics, then terminate them in such a way that it looks like an accident. When people are not sober others always assume it was the dead persons fault they got killed. Problem solved. This strange fighter was now at point blank range.

"Gunner, charge the lightning rod but do not activate it. Let the fool fly casual for a few more precious moments." Likhon said, an evil grin playing across his face. This would surely see to his promotion within the Brotherhood, and the Viceroy may even reward him with the rank of commander. Either way, whether he got those things or not, Likhon was joyful in the fact that his god Grezhok would return once they had this woman in their grasp. His faith had led him to this moment, had led him to destiny.

"Sub-Commander, there are two bio-signs within the craft. Using passive sensors while cloaked, it was difficult to discern until The One got close enough. I can confirm the data."

Likhon went over and looked at the data. He had received no orders on anyone else. As far as he knew, The One was the only person Malikh cared about. Capturing anyone else, thus risking a more robust response from the Federation, was not something Malikh would tolerate. People were afraid of the dark, the shadows, the unknown. When they could see an enemy, most would react accordingly. But, when one had no idea where the next attack was coming from, or from how close, it made an enemy overly cautious and mistakes would be made. The operative on M-69, code named Pentagram, had reported that they had successfully been 'rescued' from the station, and were now huddled with a group of civilians who had no idea who they were. Just another face from a population of thousands. Pentagram had a talent for masquerade and infiltration.

The gunner stated that the lightning rod was at full charge. Likhon gave his fellow Reman a nod in response. "Engineer, prepare to drop cloak. Gunner, the moment you have enough power to activate and fire the lightning rod, you do so. Do not wait for me, do not hesitate! Once the craft is nullified we can then beam The One over as a gift to the Viceroy. Aim well, warrior!" Likhon then lifted his left hand and pointed towards the engineering station without looking at him, his eyes on the viewport as he watched that odd-looking ship mosey along. "Drop cloak."

The TVaro class BoP, its hull a dark brown color rather than a greenish in color, appeared in space as if it was coming out of a mirage. The moment there was enough power to fire weapons the gunner fired a single round from the lightning rod. It started off as merely a superheated ball of plasma like any other Romulan weapon, but within that ball of plasma was a demon core protected by an annular confinement sphere produced by its own dedicated power source. Once far enough away from the ship the tactical officer tapped a key, causing the annular confinement sphere to collapse just as the demon core crack open. Once it cracked open there was a surge of energy as the proton particles, ion particles, tachyon particles, and chroniton particles were pressed together by means of a quantum implosion. With all that particle energy all being pressed into one micrometer of space it caused an exothermic reaction that burst into a new form of energy. The once plasma ball now looked like a giant member of the ball lightning family, with the chroniton particles adding in a time dilation to the weapon. Sensors could not accurately track the ball of ion energy since the chroniton particles caused the ball to phase in and out of time while it moved at incredible speed towards its intended coordinates of attack.

As the Bird of Prey came out of cloak, Cosmo raised the shields first, then went to alert Captain Kudo, before realizing that the Romulan designed ship was there, and then it wasn't, and then it was. It was an odd anomaly he was trying to quickly figure out, his own eye seeing the BoP decloak several times in a row, like a bad video feed set to repeat. Was it there or not? That was the question. Before he finally got around to alerting Master Ro, who was now napping while he flew, the X-wing got hit by something that was not there, and then suddenly they ran right into a giant ball of ion and lightning energy. Lightning should not be possible in space, he thought, just before he was knocked offline by the ion energy and what it was designed to do. Kill main power on any ship it was fired at, causing mass power fluctuations and making the intended victim defenseless.

As the X-wing was suddenly rocked by something, Ro sat up quickly, fully awake, feeling herself being wrapped in a transporter's embrace even as she noted that her fighter was suffering an ion blast. Within seconds she was gone, waking up Yui as she was suddenly dropped onto the seat as her mother vanished. Getting up on her knees, hands pressed to the clear canopy as she looked out, Yui saw the strange ship fade from sight. "Cosmo!" She screamed. No answer. "Cosmo?" Nothing. Her lip began to quiver, her body getting ready to break down and cry. But then, she got angry. Someone took her mother. Not her, just her mother. Deciding that crying would do her no good, and the anger feeling really good right now, Yui knew she needed to find her dad. Okay, she thought, as she sat back down on her butt and began to try and think using her mom and dad's genetic memories to help herself. First thing, power. Without it she would either suffocate to death, freeze to death, or a combination of both.

Looking along the sideboards, and the forward dashboard, Yui did locate a power reading. Currently, the X-wing was relying on battery power, and it had several hours of power left. Life support was working, thank goodness. Then, her eyes found the dedicated power board for the cockpit, for when it was ejected from the fighter and became a lifeboat. She read the gauges and saw that the lifeboat, if activated, had days of power for moving at full speed, which appeared to be right around one-quarter impulse power. There was plenty of ration paste and water for at least a week. Good, she thought, safe for now. Gives me time to figure more things out.

Ro beamed into an unfamiliar compartment, on her back as she had been sitting, and immediately did a kip-up to get to her feet and face whoever had captured her. Four rather robust looking male Remans stood before her, each with a rifle. One of those rifles had a larger, open barrel than the others. Cosmo has my lightsaber in his body, Ro thought to herself. This is going to be a fight...

The one Reman holding the odd looking weapon fired it, a large metallic net shooting out and opening up to envelop Ro. It was heavier than she had expected and did knock her back to the floor. As she struggled to free herself from the mesh she saw blue nodes light up on the net. Oh no, she thought.

One of the other Remans, an apparent leader for this team, lifted a hand holding a remote. Smiling with complete arrogance he then pressed the button on it and the net became electrified, feeling like a taser on steroids all over Ro's body. A taser meant for Augments, not normal folks. Whoever these Remans were, they had done their homework, Ro thought to herself even as she writhed in pain. The discharge was cut so Ro made to sit up again, this time looking at the last two Remans, rifles still pointed at her. The leader made an offhand gesture towards Ro and the two subordinates fired several stun shots each into her body. Lights out...
